So once again, team Ortiz underestimates me. Yaeger makes a bold prediction to finish me in the first round, just like Kris said when I fought him. Going into the fight I had a bit of a chip on my shoulder because once again I had to prove I belonged in this competition.

Round 1: We touch gloves, he immediately goes into some a strange tick. So I spend most of the first round trying to time his movement and fully expect him to jump in and try to hammer me. Of course he does the opposite. He stays on the outside, peppers me with kicks which I blocked. Finally I get a few oppurtunities to counter-punch and when I do, they put him on his ***.

Round 2: Going into this round, I know I hurt him. Pressing forward I try to land shots and take the take-down if its there. He's flying all over the place which makes it hard once I'm inside to land punches. Eventually I land some good shots, get some take-downs. By the end of the round I land in crucifix position and start landing some nice elbows. Times up, and judges call for round three!

Chuck and John had me amped up and ready to go for the 3rd, and I felt good and confident! When I look over I see that Yaeger quit!

Breaking a guy down to the point that he wants to quit in this situation is better than a KO.  Its a great feeling to move on to the semi-finals hope everyone tunes in next week, Thanks for the support!

Jim:: Finish him? WTF is this mortal kombat? its UFC its about the win not everything has to end in a knockout, if thats what you want go watch something else.. How can you not see that making a man quit is better then a knockout, he made a conscious decision to give up. A man all the way through the programme saying he wants this more then anything, couldnt get out of the chair and fight

I think Yager is a guy who likes beating people up, but doesn't like to fight. He has some great power and strikes, but once he stood against a veteran like Josh who is used to being hit, keeps coming, and hits back... he seemed to lose interest.

I would've liked to have seen Josh let his hands fly more. Anyone else see how much power he seems to have when he throws? I think he knocked the desire out of Yager when Jamie realized that he couldn't get the quick victory he was used to.

Jim, I bet you have beaten quite a few "gassed" fighters from your armchair haven't you?

Bryant is a good fighter, and I have NEVER seen anyone get KO'd from a crucifix so that right there goes to show that you don't even know what you are talking about. It is nearly impossible to get any real power behind a shot in that position because of the location of their head. The ONLY WAY you can finish someone in that position is from a ref stoppage, so it's up to the ref. If it were at the start or middle of the round, it would of been done, but the ref at end of round will usually let the fight go.

AND HE DID FINISH HIM ON THE GROUND IDIOT. Where else would he of finished him? while he was sitting on his stool? The shots from the ground made Yager quit.
Quit being a ***, go get your lazy critical *** into a gym, and show us how it's done. I got faith in you tht you can make it happen.

To tap due to striking is not the way to lose a fight and in my opinion not the way I would want to win. If a soldier were to give up in midst of battle the result could be that his comrads would die. One can not teach another how live honorably and have the courge to continue when defeat feels certain but one can lead by example by not giving up himself.

He didn't need to finish him on the ground Yaeger didn't even want to get out of the chair to face him again. Knockouts can happen in a second but making a man who has been given a massive chance to get a headstart in the UFC quit .....

Uh no. The KO would of been better since he gassed and you still couldn't finish him on the ground.
