saturaday night fights fedor could not win with the folks blinded by the truth A--if fedor had beat him quick and fast the nay sayers would be yelling told you SF & rodgers are weak told you rodgers is a bum , told you fedor ducking brock & ufc . B--when he got hurt and was in a fight, told you fedor is weak &  overrated , see he looked weak againest rodgers, brock would kill him. but heres the low down fedor record is 30--1hes fought the toughest dudes on the planet in a tougher format then ufc-- kicking knees elbows to downed opponet & a ring .. hes been in trouble BEFORE-- mark hunt --fujita-- randelman -- rodgers just to name a few but like a true champion he reaches down & bucks up.. rodgers belonged there hes got double the fights of lesnar. the last emperor showed the world  WHY  hes the best and thats the GOSPEL TRUTH

lmao..i needed a good laugh.....first off my friend...get your facts straight....elbows are not allowed in pride....its a tradeoff, you get kicks to downed guys, but no elbows...and you have the ring....instead of a cage...which is much easier....if you watch any pride fight you see when a guy is in trouble all they have to do is shimmy under the ropes and they get a break from the ref to reset......but in the cage you got nowhere to run....once your head is pinned up on the cage you are screwed.....so to say that pride is tougher format is ridiculous...if anything it was easier....and i loved pride so its not a ufc vs pride thing...i was probly one of prides biggest fans and have most of the pride events on dvd....like i said i dont take anything away from fedors win...it was a great ko from adversity..but it backed what i been saying all along...he is overrated and was almost beaten by a rookie...period....and that's the GOSPEL TRUTH....can i get an AMEN UP IN HERE........AMEN...PREACH ON.....LOL
 

ok but knees and head stomps were allowed & imo those pride years were tougher & harder talent in all wt classes. but you make the point of this thread win or lose you find fault with fedor. you call rodgers a rookie hes got at least 6--7 more fights then lesnar, but when white gives him a title shot which he did not EARN OR DESERVE that was ok with the flock.. AMEN-- NO CIGAR FOR ALMOST BUDDHA

you are wrong on that part my friend...i never said it was okay that brock got the title shot...i thought he didnt deserve it then, but he showed why dana gave it to him by destroying the 2 best heavies the ufc had to offer....mir and couture...period....whether he deserved it at the time or not is irrelevant now...it's done, and he is at the top now....and from what i have seen, he isnt getttin beat anytime soon....and its not because i am a brock lover, hell, i can sit here and tell what flaws in his game as well....and i will since you think i am always finding fault in fedor.....with brock, his strking is sloppy, he swings wild sometimes, and he has no submissions that we have seen so far(with the exception of when he tried to pull off a kimura, which shocked the *** outta me).....but his size and strength and speed all negate the few flaws he is showing right now....its alot like when marcus jones was about to be taken down on the last episode of tuf...the other guys technique was better going for the takedown, but jones power was able to negate the techniq.....i have said it a million times on this site and others, just because you know how to armbar someone, or kimura someone...you still have to be able to pull that big freakin hamhock into the position to get the sub...and with brock, it's gonna be hard as hell for anyone to out muscle him..ask mir about the rematch.....lesnar is learning sub defense everyday and the more he learns the harder it will be for anyone to beat him....but just think about what kind of a beast brock will be when he learns to actually use subs against people....i think a month or two in his next training camp should be spent with maia learning some subs....
 
now with the fedor stuff, you say i always find fault...and that isnt really true, i gave him his props for being able to take the beating he took and pull off a great ko....but that's exactly what he did....took a beating then pulled a ko out of his ***....period...facts or facts whether you like it or not bud...lol....at no time in that fight was rogers in any danger of being stopped, until the one punch landed....rogers clearly won the first round, and was winning the second until he got his head knocked off....which supports what i have been saying all along...fedor isnt the best fighter in the world...hell, you even said it in one of your replys earlier i think.." fedor did what he always does, takes a beating,then pulls out a sub or ko for the win".......by that standard you could go back and say oleg taktarov was one of the best ever...he took more beatings than i can remember, yet always seemed to outlast the others and get asub win at the end...
 
now the one thing me and you can def agree on is the knees and kicks to head....i have been saying forever that ufc needs to allow that....with the ability to knee and kick guys in the head while they are down, would stop alot of this lay and pray *** that we see all the time....guys that are being layed on  from side control or half guard could knee guys in the head to make them move or open up a chance for reversals....i can think  of tons of fights that would have been so much better if guys could just knee someones head from the north-south position, or punt a guys head in while they are turtled up not wanting to fight....
