Athletic Commissions responsibility to MMA

So my last post brought up what I was really looking for. And several of you had outstanding points of view. I think the Athletic commission ows it to the MMA orginizations that are out there and to the fighters to get things streamlined. This sport is like nothing else out there and needs to be treated as such. I am interested in what you all think some of the fix's are. I have my own ideas that I will share as we go along.

For sure!! One of my opinions is that any judges or refs should have been involved with MMA in some way shape or form. Or what about the people who judge these martial arts expo's? There is a good place to start looking. They are usually instructors of some form of martial art. And have a better idea of what is going on.

Not bad ideas, but then if the commission had any money to do that, they'd spend it on coke parties for the politicians! lol After 15 or so years, it's still a young sport. Sorry to see that other thread deleted. I think some good stuff was coming out of it. The problem really lies with government. I think we need an idependent third party that's not run by the government. Anything they touch seems to only get slower and supports itself instead of the mission. Baseball has its own commission which was first headed by a retired judge. The person was agreed upon by all the team owners to oversee things. The question is... how would MMA start one that would complete the mission unbiased?

Yeah I had to that chick from Hawaii was driving me nuts.... But this one serves the same purpose. Thats very true!! And maybe thats the answer here as well. Find Someone to lobby for the change! Someone like senator McCain... He is bored these days you know he is looking up old dead boxers to give them pardons!! All kidding aside!! I think that would be a great thing to look into. The problem would then lay in how would it be brought to their attention? As far as money goes... LOL you should look at my post in SWEETMISSYS post in this area... You know every MMA orginization there is in the U.S. would donate money for the cause...
