I definitely like the tournament idea. Well that and the drinking beer and eating pizza!

Do you think they can keep their word about the fighters deciding?  What if the fighter who always wants to fight is not a crowd pleaser?  You know how they worry about ratings.

I don't know how worried about ratings Bellator is right now though. I don't think they're there yet. The simple fact is that you have to do something differnet than your competitors to establish your niche. Tournament play, a circular cage, etc.
 
If that model takes off then they'll have to worry about ratings more. I think all these promotions will have trouble until there's a unification of the leagues into one or two that work together. Think NFL / AFL. The nice thing about unification is that all the best parts of the splintered leagues will come together
 
It's a progression that will take years still.
