Barrett and Smith set to collide in New Jersey on Oct. 23

After a ton of talk and negotiation, the much-anticipated fight between heavyweights "Brutal" Brendan Barrett and Randy "The Wolf" Smith is set to go down at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City on Oct. 23, according to both Barrett and Smith.
 
Now the fun begins.
 
There's a serious history between these two fighters which you can read here. But now that the fight has been signed, here's Barett: "I'm going to make him (Smith) famous. He's going to be the first person ever to be carried out of the cage in a body bag." And Smith, "Can't wait to punch this guy in his face ... Don't miss the wolf put on a striking clinic."

Barrett, 28, is 4-4, stands at 5'11" and weighed 235.5 for his last fight. He calls New Jersey home, but trains in Oregon at Next Level MMA under head trainer Greg Thompson, Muay Thai coach Jeremy Wijers and BJJ coach Eban Kaneshiro. To sponsor Barrett, email him here.

Training:
Barrett: "Right now, I'm already in fight shape. I have two months to take myself physically beyond any shape I've been in. I hope he's training hard; he's going to need it."
 
Smith: "I know for this fight, I'm prepared. I just got done coordinating my fight camp ... It's going to be the hardest camp that I've ever had."
 
The fight:
Smith: "This fight's not going to a decision. Win, lose, or draw, it's going to end in violent fashion, I believe."
 
Barrett: "I see this fight going whatever way I want it to go, depending on what my mood is. ...If I feel generous, I might let him punch me in the jaw."
 
On trash-talking:
Barrett: "Talk ***, get hit."
 
Smith: "the brutal one is gona get brutalized. I'm gona have to hit this guy hard in the jaw he prob has. A strong jaw becuase he runs it all the time."
