That was pathetic. I remeber telling a buddy next to me, Maia should win this only because hes actually fighting. I felt disgusted watching silva fight like that. He shouldnt be allowed to host a mainevent anytime soon nor should he be able to fight topp fighters since hes just gonna play around anyways. Im still made penn lost because I think he won it but hey there will be a rematch no doubt

I don't think either Penn or Edgar did anything to convince me they won the fight. If anything it was a draw. Total snoozefest. I bet Penn comes back hungry and completely on his game though.
 
I think Silva is probably frustrated. Nobody even engages him really anymore. Even Maia was pretty timid at first. I'll give Damien props though. He laid hands on Silva more than anyone since Hendo.
 
I'll say this too... if Silva wants to make a big scene about someone not trading in the stand up with him, maybe Maia should've stayed on the ground and called Silva a wuss for not going to the ground with him. It's the same difference really.

Yea i hear ya on that. Let silva fight vitor. I guarantee he wont be taunting vitor nor would he be givin the time. I mean maia showed several times he wanted him to come to the ground but I dunno, Im not impressed with silva right now

*** that crap slik....its like this...first of all, maia didnt belong in that fight, hell, he was clearly scrared to death of silva after he landed the first punch of the fight....this is how i think the fight went...silva toyed with him like a freakin child and humiliated him for the first 2 rounds...then either silva got bored with the fight, or he felt bad as hell for humiliating the kid so bad....do i like the way it went hell no, but dana and them have only themselves to blame for putting maia in there with silva....anderson is still the man, and he cant help it if everyone is too scared to fight him....period....maia followed him arround at the end, but still wouldnt throw but one punch at a time, and that isnt engaging either...so both sucked *** the last  2 rounds, but to take the belt you have to beat the champ, not the other way around...and for all the *** dana is talking about anderson doesnt deserve a gsp fight, hell, gsp's last 2 fights were freakin boring as *** too...he could have easily broken hardy's arm and ended that fight, but instead he let it go, and then laid and prayed the rest of the fight...period...gsp and silva right now dont have enough competition at their weights to make interesting fights right now....if gsp is THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME, like they want you to believe, let him *** move up in weight, like anderson does, and like bj penn does, until then, you are not the pound for pound best in the world...just the best 170 in the world....i am so sick of people riding gsp nutts and giving anderson ***...they both been fighting boring fights, so put them in their with each other and let anderson ko gsp and get it over with to shut all the haters up.......
 
and since i mentioned beating the champ to take the belt, i guess all you have to do to win a 155 belt is be able to take bj down 2 times and you win it...that freakin fight was the most boring peice of *** i have seen in a long time...edgar moved alot, and showed great head movement but didnt do *** when he engaged...he got countered everytime he tried to come in..bj clearly landed the harder shots....and they gave edgar the belt...what the hell was the judge that gave all 5 rounds to edgar....what a joke...i had it 4-1 bj...and if you want to give a round to someone just for getting a takedown, then you can say 3-2 bj....but even then, its a bj win...what a crock of ***..i think since edgar was 7-1 dog, dana and his crew paid off the judges and put money on edgar in vegas...that was about as bad as the couture over vera decision...horrible freaking judging in my book....the whole ppv was a bust to me, not very entertaining...and you guys know how much i love bj and anderson...was looking forward to the card alot...but got bored and went outside during both the main events...that's sad.

I'd say that sounds pretty accurate. I think people just get really turned off when Anderson acts like that because MMA is supposed to be the sport that shows respect and professionalism.
